Zhangjiagang Expressway (Suzhou) Incident Linkage Handling System Case
** Zhangjiagang Expressway (Suzhou) Incident Linkage Handling System Case**
The Zhangjiagang Public Security Bureau Traffic Police Brigade, in collaboration with Nanjing Hurys, developed an “all‑area monitoring and incident handling system for expressways based on radar‑video fusion”. Centered on 4D imaging radar‑video integrated detectors, the system incorporates edge computing and digital twin technologies to build an integrated “cloud‑edge‑end” sensing architecture. It achieves all‑weather, full‑element, full‑trajectory accurate monitoring of the expressway, with incident detection accuracy exceeding 98%. The average incident handling time has been reduced from 25 minutes to 8 minutes, and secondary incidents have been reduced to zero. This project won the Second Prize of the 2024 China ITS Association Science and Technology Progress Award, providing a replicable and scalable model for smart urban expressway management.
